Purchasing a guide book is always a challenge. Fulfilling my needs almost always means buying more that one book and then following up with additional research on the net.

The book is written by locals that are in the know. Consisting of maps, general island basics, beach reviews (many unknown), detailed area by area descriptions, restaurant and hotel reviews you really can't go wrong with any of the recommendations.
